Awesome Tiny Home Office

Wow, this is awesome. It’s used as a small home office, but I can’t see it being used as a small cabin, too. The images speak for themselves, really. I’m just in awe.

This cabin is unusual for me – it doesn’t melt into the landscape like some of the other designs I like. It isn’t as visually pleasing as some of my other favorites, either. But this cabin does have one great feature – unlike most other designs I’ve seen, this cabin all centers around the main central room. It’s was formed around the idea of an urban piazza, where there’s a central public space surrounded by more private individual spaces. This cabin would be great for large families and entertaining, and of course it looks great!

This little shed made from reclaimed garden fence probably isn’t big enough to live in, but it is cute. And it definitely looks like something I can build!

In opposition the previous post (the rather large English prefab), check out this cabin built from a small shack and a grain bin. Comfy, cute, and definitely unique, the small upstate New York cabin was built from the ground up for only $190,000. I like it!

This seemingly large (and strikingly beautiful) house was completed on a relatively modest budget through some clever planning by architect Eldridge Smerin. The house was a prefab that was completed off-site in sections utilizing green technology, then transported to the building site and pieced together. It has an indoor pool, tw car garage, and a fantastic modern style.

For some reason, this oval garden room from Joost strikes me as being very romantic. Maybe it’s the decorations, or maybe it’s the soft round shape, but it looks like wonderful place to spend some time on a cool Summer evening, or a lazy weekend afternoon.

Yeah, that’s a lot of words in that headline, but they’re all true. The geniuses at Alchemy Architects came up with weeHouses, which come in 10 standard options plus you can customize all you want. On top of that, pricing starts at only $65,000. The weeHouse may have moved to the top of my idea list!

This great little house built in the high desert has some of the off-grid components that are an important part of a little homespace: solar panels; easy to build; and cheap. And it’s beautiful to boot!
