You can tell by the title that I wasn’t exactly sure what to call this. To get to the house, you enter in a nearby barn and go through a tunnel. Seriously! It’s built into the hill to negate some of the lost energy from the cold Swiss winters, and the circular design is proportioned to maximize the view. Where there’s a will (and money) there’s a way. Astounding.

This place is just about perfect. Small, cozy, comfortable… It even has an outdoor shower! It’s like they’re reading my mind! I guess to be honest though, it’s not technically a tree house.

I love the way these two cabins look on the outside, with a common area between the two. I’m not a big fan of the inside – it’s a little austere for my taste – but it’s an excellent way of having multiple families have common space, while still affording privacy when needed.

Wow. There’s a lot to love with this one. The thatched roof on the patio (with a hammock, of course). The way the house blends right in to the landscape. But mostly check out that pool. That is one of the coolest pools I have ever seen!

I love the look of these buildings – their smallish, but very solid. It makes me start thinking about the different ways you could have more than one building, while connecting them all with a central deck or common room.

This cabin isn’t exactly my cup of tea – it’s a little too modern for my tastes. That being said, their use of recycled products is commendable, and I love the interchangeability of their designs. There are definitely some good things to learn from these guys.
