I love the outdoor living spaces at this massage therapy pavilion located in Quebec (at a resort called La Source). Well-connected to the outdoors, it looks like the type of resort that places relaxation above the high-brow hobnobbing and see-and-be-seen games off the well off.
Oh, and a waterfall from the second story deck to the ground floor pool? Brilliant!

Another great cabin in the Winthrop area of Washington state, not far from my hometown of Wenatchee. This little cabin is only 850 sq ft, but that’s plenty of room for the one bedroom and a large living/dining kitchen area. Besides, you’d spend most of your time looking at that view. It’s truly a wonderful low-budget cabin, and another winner from Balance Associates.

I love this place, and not just because it’s located in Cle Elum Washington, one of the places where I’m currently looking at property. The thing that jumps out at me is that awesome entry gate. I love it. Love. It.

Plus I love how the site plan is split, so you could visit with another family and you’d each effectively have your own wing. It’s perfect!

Modeled after the silver and circular shape of UFOs, this unique treehouse is perched high in the treetops of Okinawa. Climbing the array of ladders to reach the top looks a tiny bit scary, but the view from the top must be spectacular!

The circHouse is a new yurt structure that takes advantage of all the architectural benefits of the circular structure while gaining in an easy-to-build fully transportable small vacation home. The company behind the circHouse Yurt claims you can build a circHouse in a few hours, and customize it completely with wood paneled sections, window sections, doors, greenhouse roof panels, and more. It’s an interesting idea, to say the least.

Sometimes I see the mountains here in Washington state and think that they’re pretty big and imposing. Then I see pictures like this.
This cabin was built from an old livestock shelter, and restored to relative comfort at an elevation of roughly 6000ft. It looks warm and comfy – they perfect place for a nice cup of hot cocoa.

The view is incredible, isn’t it? I’ve never been to Europe – it’s hard for me to even imagine mountains like this. But I do love the cabin, too.

There’s a lot to like about this vacation home in Sacramento, California. Dubbed the Yolo Cabin, it was designed by Butler Armsden Architects and is delightfully simple.

While I haven’t been to Sacramento in many years (except driving through), it looks like this home would fit right in to the other homes in the central California farming region.
And I love the tower!

This treehouse is used as an office, can you imagine?

In addition to being completely awesome looking, it’s full wired with high-speed internet, phone, heating, fully stocked mini-fridge, and more. Wow.

Traditional Spanish architecture can be so beautiful. The exposed timber beams and columns, white stucco… While this home has a traditional look, it is a new build with many modern amenities.

This wonderful is located on the island of Formentera, about 6 miles from Ibiza. The local furniture and household items definitely contribute to the look, but the local is perfect, too. I need to book a trip to see this place in person!
