I love interior courtyards, and this home in Seal Rocks, Australia has an interior courtyard on steroids. Designed by Australian architectural firm Bourne Blue, the home was designed with few exterior views for privacy, and interior glass walls that make the entire space seem vibrant.

This house may go too far for me with the courtyard theme, though that’s mostly a function of where I live. Here in the CabinZoom labs in the Pacific Northwest, half the year we’d be in heaven with this courtyard, and half the year we’d be stuck in a semi-cramped space looking out at the rain.

This great little house built in the high desert has some of the off-grid components that are an important part of a little homespace: solar panels; easy to build; and cheap. And it’s beautiful to boot!
