Stunningly beautiful, this romantic oceanfront rental is located in Bodega Bay, on the northern coast of California. Perfect for a small family, the home is lovely, and the views are breathtaking. Really, there’s not much I can say about this home. It’s awesome.

This lovely modern cottage retreat in New York State would look right at home here in the Pacific Northwest, and that’s probably why I love it. A remodeling lead by Method Design added a formal entrance, new addition, and modern (and sustainable) recladding of the entire house. It looks awesome.

There are more than a few unique homes in Aspen, but this one was made from a different mold. Circular inside and out, the home resembles a mushroom if nothing else – a chunky, rocky mushroom. Without a doubt, the best feature of the home is what the owners lovingly refer to as “The Love Pit”. The built-in circular couch surrounds the central fireplace, and is such an awesome conversation piece. Seriously, if I have room for something this crazy, I’m totally going for it!

Even something simple like a boat house can be fun and interesting. This elliptical boat house, called the Shore Vista Boat Dock, is made much more interesting by its shape – and by the awesome waterfall. There’s not much to dislike here.

I love the outdoor living spaces at this massage therapy pavilion located in Quebec (at a resort called La Source). Well-connected to the outdoors, it looks like the type of resort that places relaxation above the high-brow hobnobbing and see-and-be-seen games off the well off.
Oh, and a waterfall from the second story deck to the ground floor pool? Brilliant!

Maybe it’s the beautifully curved roofline, or maybe it’s the way that curve is mirrored in the interior walls, but I find this guest house jaw-droppingly beautiful. Designed by TOTeMS Architecture, it’s small but leaves a huge impression.

And the way the interior walls curve… Wow.

I can’t get enough of it – I need to find more pictures. And maybe drop by for a visit!

These Hanging Outdoor Lounging Pods from Dedon make any yard or open space inviting – and relaxing. I could really take a nice nap in one of those, gently swaying in the breeze…

I love these little Pod Homes, they are so cute. You can hook multiple Eco Pods together, or build them with multiple levels. They are just adorable!

I love love love the way this house is situated in the trees. It looks like so much care was take to nestle it in the environment.

The interior is wonderful, too. It almost looks like camping, there’s so little separation between man-made and natural. Just wonderful.

This small home looks so warm and inviting, I imagine in part due to its organic shape. Plus, as a huge bonus, it produces more energy than it uses. Amazing!
