I did a double-take when I first saw the above picture. Dubbed the Dream of Robinson, it’s a cute little cabin perched on both stilts and on the slender trunks of spruce trees. And it’s accessible from a long, narrow bridge.

Check out the pictures at the Mon Jardin website to see the cute interior – it’s entirely in French, so I’m not sure if all the pictures are from the same cabin – they almost look fake they are so awesome! (via Tiny House Blog)

Just like yesterday’s Mazama Tower Retreat, this treehouse on Hood Canal can be buckled up tight thanks to a motorized drawbridge/stair that can be lifted when the owners are traveling.
Perched on four cement columns, this vacation home is a dainty 800 sq ft, but it feels huge with its high ceilings and airy interior.

A luxurious, eco-friendly treehouse in Tuscany? As strange as it sounds, yes. The Black Cabin ecoloft is only 87 square meters, but they use it well. And that doesn’t count the beautiful pool and awesome eating nook on the deck. Incredible.
The Black Cabin treehouse is available as a vacation rental for 390 Euros per night. That works out to a bit over $500 per night, so it isn’t exactly cheap. But I bet it’s worth it.

I don’t want to oversell this tree house. Calling it “the ultimate tree house” might give you expectations that exceed reality. But in this case… it won’t. This tree house is awesome. Just check out these pictures, and be amazed.

Built by German firm Baumraum in Munster, this tree house is called Froschkönig and is beautiful. I love the pond entrance, too.

In 1994 Horrace Burges was living in Crossville, Tennessee and had a divine vision. No, God didn’t tell him to get out of Tennessee, he told him to build a tree house. In the last 17 years much has Horrace built? He’s currently at 10,000 square feet and 10 stories – the massive structure is mostly supported by a single tree and reaches 100 feet into the air!

A few years ago Horrace opened the treehouse to the public, and he now gets a few hundred visitors a week to come and marvel at the behemoth. I wonder if it’s up to code.

Just by being a a house built in a tree, you’d think a tree house is somewhat green. This tree house, dubbed the “Rooted Tree House”, takes that idea even farther by build a large, beautiful tree house in an old oak tree, and they didn’t cut a single branch. It’s mostly supported by a few large branches, but also by several large beams that reach to the ground.

You could probably nitpick about whether or not the Rooted Tree House is a true tree house, but it doesn’t really matter. The home is build into, around, and through the tree, so it counts!

Unfortunately located far away (from me) in Sweden, the awesome Treehotel features six stunning and unique tree house designs. The four designs currently available for guests include the Mirrorcube (pictured above), and the Cabin, the Bird’s Nest, the Blue Cone, the UFO, and A Room With a View. I can’t decide which is my favorite. Mirrorcube is awesome and A Room with a View is awesome, but a night in the UFO would be a dream!

Modeled after the silver and circular shape of UFOs, this unique treehouse is perched high in the treetops of Okinawa. Climbing the array of ladders to reach the top looks a tiny bit scary, but the view from the top must be spectacular!

This treehouse is used as an office, can you imagine?

In addition to being completely awesome looking, it’s full wired with high-speed internet, phone, heating, fully stocked mini-fridge, and more. Wow.

A treehouse for grownups! This beautiful treehouse in Toscany, Italy has a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, running water, electricity, and almost hides in the canopy among olive, cyprus and pines trees. It’s used as a guest house and retreat, but I could see moving in full time!

Made from mostly recycled materials, including a lot of steel, the treehouse has taken on an earthy, rusty tone that melts beautifully with the Italian countryside. I love it.
